Greetings Earthlings.
My blog is my personal journal, and because nobody reads it *cough*, I do not feel compelled to update it as much.
A lot has happened since I last posted. By a lot, I mean, a lot.
So here's a letter present Amelia would like to write to future Amelia, if she dares to read this post.
HELLO AMELIA.
Today's date is the 2nd of January, 2013. You're turning 18 this year, isn't that all you've ever wanted? At this time, you were sitting in the kitchen, tapping on your MacBook Air, with your grandmother on a war path outside. Your sister refuses to study, and your grandpa is just reading the newspaper.
It's an average day.
What are your thought and feelings now? Future Amelia, I really want to take a glimpse into the future and see who and what you have become. How old are you now? Where do you live? Who do you live with? What do you do?
2012 was a whirlwind year for you. You were broken. But you promised yourself to mend your wings, and be stronger than you were before.
You are now running on reserve battery power.
Oops.
5 hours later, in my bedroom.
Well hello again, future Amelia.
Where was I? Ah okay. Whirlwind, broken, stronger, blah blah blah, all that emotional crap.
All this crap has caused me to be in a constant state of ambivalence towards most things in life. I hate getting emotionally attached to something now, only because I know how hard it will hit me when that something disappears.
I probably don't even make sense. I'm typing away like a monkey on the loose, swinging from tree to tree without gripping the tree tight enough. I don't even think that makes sense.
Amelia, I want you to read this blogpost again in one year. Then read the new year resolutions you made with Lara. How many of the resolutions have you achieved? I sure hope you've accomplished most of them, specially that bit. You set goals for a reason. These two years will be the hardest years of your life. If you get through it, then its time for a well deserved pat on the back.
It's 10pm.
Time to hunt for food.
Adios.
